Guidance and counselling
Guidance and counselling services in the areas of academic, personal and career planning are provided by a qualified guidance counsellor. The confidentiality policy for client and counsellor is in accordance with provincial and federal legislation.
The guidance counsellor’s office is located at:
Centre for Nursing Studies
Ground floor, Southcott Hall
To make an appointment or for questions, please contact the guidance counsellor by telephone or email: Dawn Lanphear at 709-777-8187 or dawn.lanphear@mun.ca.
Student utilization of the guidance services is generally on a voluntary basis. However, students may also be referred to the guidance counsellor by a faculty member. In these instances, students work collaboratively with the guidance counsellor and faculty member, if necessary, to develop and implement strategies to help resolve the identified problem area.
